LOST MONSTERS at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool
Street Furniture have been busy composing and sound designing a new play for the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. The story is about three runaways stranded and seeking refuge in an isolated house in a forgotten valley with only the litter and noise from the surrounding motorway above as company. As society whizzes by all around, they enter a world of dreams and nightmares.
This new play for our time is brimming with savage humour, touching humanity and visual invention.
The exciting cast of four is Joe McGann (Fiddler on the Roof), Rebecca Ryan (Shameless), Nick Moss (Urban Legend) and Kevin Trainor (Hellboy).

RED BALLOON at the Royal Opera House
Street Furniture have recently finished compsing the music for full length ballet, RED BALLOON, based on Albert Lamorisse’s film and children’s story of the same title. The new score is written by Mieko Shimizu and Peter Morris – a strong combination of musical talent – to join with Aletta Collins’s dance to bring alive, in the Linbury Studio Theatre, this joyous evocation of a 1950s Parisian childhood that made the Oscar winning original film of 1956 the classic that it has become. The World Premiere is Thursday the 9th of April and it will run until Saturday the 18th of April including a matinee performance augmented by a String Ensemble from the Royal Opera Orchestra on Friday the 17th of April in the Paul Hamlyn Hall.
Mico will be performing at this years Takeover Festival held at Southbanks Royal Festival Hall. Takeover has been over a year in the making and will be an extraordinary mix of surprising and super-fresh sounds, jaw dropping visuals, high voltage spoken word and culture-clash choreography.
Street Furniture have completed the music for 'Lapdance' a short film part of 3 Minute Wonder; a Channel 4 television slot that broadcasts directors' three-minute TV programmes in the middle of the channel's weekday primetime schedule.
